What is HTTP?
The acronym H.T.T.P. stands for Hyper Text Transfer Protocol.
The internet consists of a vast array of highly-connected devices spanning the entire globe. These device are computers, servers, smart phones, tablets, and many more. To ensure that any two devices can communicate, it was necessary to develop a common set of rules – or protocol – to facilitate dependable communication.
HTTP messaging typically follows a two-stage cycle: a request that is followed by a response.
